The children had great fun creating pudsey ears.
The teachers asked us about Diwali in which we could tell them about the festival of light and all our activities this week.
The children have loved celebrating Diwali week. We have had popadoms as our weeks snack. We have been learning to portion control as well as scooping the chutney out of the jar and taking responsibility for washing up. We also have been creating our own hand prints with henna designs on large sheets of paper. We have been left to do this activity independently and therefore trust to wash our hands when we have finished.
The children have been enjoying learning that maths can be found everywhere. They found objects outside to sort into their own criteria of big and small.
The children showed their their interest in animals very early on when starting school. They decided they wanted the role play area to be a vets. They used cardboard boxes to create pens for the animals and acted as vets. They used the props to help them aid their language development.
