The number of the week is number 9.
Share with your children different ways of representing 9.
It could be combining dice together.
It could be looking at making 9p.
It could be recognizing 9 on a clock and understanding that 9 o clock is school time.

The children were hard at work on Friday creating lots of different mixtures to make 4 different flavoured cakes for their special guests. Baking allows lots of opportunities for vocabulary, discussion, mathematical understanding and fun!
To celebrate Chinese New Year we have been very crafty in reception and made some rattle drums for our parade!
We are learning about people who help us. Mrs Kelsall who is a nurse came in to show us how she helps people with special equipment. We even got to use some!
We we had a special visit on the last day of school before the Christmas holidays. Father Christmas came to Woodfield!! It was so magical to see him give everybody a lovely gift.
Reception on has a great time at their first Christmas party at Woodfield. There was lots of games and dancing!
All the reception children worked so hard to produce a fantastic Christmas play, the wriggly nativity. Miss Warren was very proud of their achievements.
The reception children were very eager to create their class mascot a surprise party for his birthday. They invited their year 6 buddies but needs to make sure they had some party food. They decided to make healthy pizzas. They talked about lots of healthy fruit and vegetables, that they’d like on their pizzas. We got the oven , rolled the dough and made the most delicious healthy pizzas wood field has ever had!
The children had fun counting the raisins to put on their gingerbread men but the best part was eating them!
